Fairy Tail Gaiden contains three separate volumes chronicling the thrilling escapades of various characters. Levy sets out to find Gajeel and discover the truth behind his sudden disappearance. Along the way, she uncovers a dark conspiracy connected to Gajeel's past. Raigo Issen tells the tale of Laxus and the Thunder Tribe after the disbandment of their former guild. Seeking a new home, they join Blue Pegasus, but the environment is markedly different from what they are used to. When Ichiya is kidnapped by the rival guild Red Princess, Laxus and his friends embark on a dangerous mission to rescue him.
