Overlord of Insects

10/10 actual GOAT for something Chinese, a rare find.

The MC is not intersting at all, the story is slow and dumb and the author do anything to make a 3 panel worth of a story last at least a full chapter, not really worth reading.

New review after 12 chapters 

the story is actually interesting it not unique of course but if still grabs our attention 

Mc ain't no b*tch and does his own thing and isn't easy manipulated by people 

the potential female mc from that rich family isn't useless thank g** and isn't pushy or over demanding and is actually respectful towards also once again she isn't a useless side hoe or side waifu most Chinese manhwa gives us 

so yh current verdict up to chapter 12 is a 8./10

Only at ch5: the story seemed interesting at first but.....
.....The translation isn't too good and the Mc is strong from the beginning without a proper and clear explanation so the pace is a little too fast and messy.
But the thing that stand out the most is that the mother insect, instead of a really insect, it resemble a shadow (and we all know where this idea came from).
I'm curious anyway in how it will evolve the story so I'm gonna give it a chance and read a little bit more chapters.

I find the storytelling and writing a bit rushed and messy. Too bad, the premise has such potential in more capable hands.

The art is nice and had the vibes of manhwa. Glad to see the author/ artist followed the trend rather than typical manhua style (which a bit plain I supposed).

Interesting storyline so far especially when the MC already knew how good his class is and set his goals to make sure he is well-known. This would be different that most story out there where MC trying to his capabilities.

MC abilities involving insects which is more uncommon among regressor storyline (where they either get stronger by ownself or using some necromancer ability) seems good.
