Comparison of the Anime, Manga, and Novel
Anime: 3/10
Not worth your time. I would not compare it to OPM season 2 or Blue lock season 2 in terms of bad animation quality; it's at least above that. There was potential (as seen in the opening), but the rest of the show had a lot of still frames and repeated images.
I am aware that the director for the opening was different from the director for the show, but alas, it had so much potential.
Special opening score: 8/10

I'd actually recommend just not reading this if you're planning on reading the novel.
This does not do justice to the novel; the pacing is eh, the characters have been simplified past their novel selves, and the art quality is debatable.
Ryo looks a little bit lifeless in this manga and not as... glorious as I was expecting (ok maybe I was hyped up by the novel cover, maybe...)
I support artists; I really do (considering I am one myself) but this does not spark joy.

My heart has never been broken so completely that there was nothing left.
I've cried until I had no tears remaining. The line between fiction and reality was blurred more times than I could count.
This is truly a masterpiece if I ever saw one. So beautifully written. I don't know what happened to Author-nim to inspire this art but wow, thank you.

This type of great story is hard to find and the artwork and translation deserves a big hooray! I will check to see if chapter 45 and on shows up. I love manga and as a retiree have time for it now lol
