i didn't expect to like this story so much, but i LOVED it. jaewoo, hyeonjin, and his little brothers dynamic was so cutee. i didn't like choi mujin all that much in the beginning, but
Spoiler!
seeing that he missed jaewoo after his death, visited his old house, and even stepped aside for jaewoos happiness w hyeonjin was a lil bittersweet. :')

Confused, was there a point to this? Some sort of tragic story, all non con, it honestly was very boring. Doubt it was supposed to be interesting, probably just something to get off to. Also probably why the characters were so shallow. The 'innocence' and very childish behavior of the mc was a little off putting.. though that's nothing new

The story has 110 chapters, just so you know, and I recommend you to go look for them and read them all if you intend to read this at all. Only one third is uploaded here. This is a complex story with a very bitter flavour to it. The romance/boys love tag is completely misleading. Love is not the central topic. If anything, it's used as an aggravating element. If I had to label it, it would have Tragedy and Murder in it. It's quite heavy and deals with serious if not tragic topics. I also found it rather difficult to follow, due to the multiple flashbacks that make it even more confusing, and you have to read it till the end in order to grasp the full picture. The fact that past and present are so much mixed up and that temporality is so vague is quite interesting : due to the past, the characters have somehow stopped living and the flow of time doesn't matter so much anymore. Same goes for the expressionless faces and the limited colour palette.

It's about revenge and guilt, about how every character carries his own burden and crafts his own punishment. Everything revolves around the theme of death, around the death of a character and how it drags down everyone related to this character. I am not very good with psychology but I think the multiple aspects of guilt and regret were very well depicted through the various protagonits. The characters are very complex and you have to infer a lot through your reading to understand them. I think each one of them could be the object of a full essay.

[This is the continuation of the above comment]

You will appreciate the very attractive characters and how till the very end they are clad in mystery and you keep wondering about them as the truth slowly unfolds. You cannot deem them good or bad, each one having his own agenda and circumstances that justifies the intentions and actions. That's what kept me curious and wanting to delve deeper, until curtain fall which was a real shock.

The ending was meant to bring some relief but for me it was a little out of place considering how everything before was so gloomy, and at the same time I was afraid it would end in a triple suicide. Fortunately it did not.

I did rate this story 5 stars because I think it's really one of a kind but rather than rating it, it is one of these stories that is completely open to debate and discussion among readers.

In the end and in my modest opinion, the reflection that underlines this whole story is the following question : is revenge really yours to carry, does clinging to it leads you more to self destruction than salvation/atonement or fulfilment and makes you lose the perspective of life ? Can you really live with the sole prospect of revenge ? How far can you shoulder the responsibility ?

This is a tough one for sure & in the end it wasn't as good as i thought it would be.

Tbh it's actually pretty diappointing because the only person i actually really liked in this manga is a side character that doesn't even have a big part in the manga itself.

Almost all of the main characters have pretty shi*** or weird personalitys & that becomes especially aparent in the later chapters.

I don't want to go into too much details bc of spoilers but especially Niina Sugawara is a disgusting backstabbing person that normally everyone would exclude, shun & bully into oblivion but somehow isn't probably because she is praised as the beautiful goddess by everyone else.

The others are unlikable too and while the story still has a "decent" end for at least 2 of them, i still had the aftertaste of p.uke & p.iss in my mouth after finishing it.

If anyone is searching for a good romance manga with great characters is definetely wrong here.

My favourite bl manhua, plot is next level and where should I even start with the characters? 😭 Just read it if you're in the reviews, trying to see if it's good or not. BELIEVE ME you won't regret it.

Binged through the 33 chapters available.  It's slow life and low stakes, but its a comfy read.
